JUMP Preschool

         The JUMP Preschool Program 

Currently we operate 3 classrooms

One class for children ages 2 years to their third birthday. This class is designed to meet the needs of the younger preschooler. With less attention paid to the schedule we allow more flexibility in the day to day activities, while still maintaining a classroom that is a learning environment.

Two classes for children ages 3 years to 5 years. These  2 classes are designed to prepare children for success in kindergarten and primary school. 

Children are engaged in preplanned activities to meet academic goals, In addition we allow specific time for child directed activities.

Our program is thoughtfully and lovingly designed and operated to meet the academic, social, emotional, physical and spiritual needs of the children in our preschool. 



Lorna is our curriculum planning expert. She creates curriculum activities that truly engage our children. her planning includes daily lessons of; language, literature, math, science, art, dramatic play and bible.

JUMP Preschool staff

We set a standard of education and experience above the licensing requirements as all JUMP Preschool teachers and aides are educated in the field of early childhood education and development.

Teachers hold a BA in Early Child Development, are certified as a Master Teachers or are working toward completion of their degrees.

 

WE APPRECIATE the nature of Children. Children are naturally curious about the world and want to explore and communicate what they are seeing, hearing, tasting, touching, smelling and feeling about their world. They have individual thoughts and emotions. Listening to children's thoughts and ideas are how we validate and respect children.
Children also learn best through "hands on projects". Because each child's needs and interests are highly valued, they are given as much time as needed to explore, communicate, create, complete, extend and return to "projects"as desired.

In our program a "project" is any activity a child is engaged in from self created art, dramatic play, block creations, book reading etc.
